If i'm not with you all the moment it's just because Alan is in hospital again with another blocked bowel. Spent most of Mon eve and Tues morning in A&E with it all.
He's still in hospital as there hasn't been much 'movement'yet but he is a lot better than he was. the ambulance took half an hour to arrive though which was pretty scary when you have someone rolling around on the floor in agony! They told me it could be as long as 60 minutes as it wasn't immediately life threatening! How did they know?!?

Also for those who know my sister Carmel-she fell and broke her wrist yesterday and she wasn't even drinking! she can't drive for 6 weeks.

So sorry to hear about Alan and Carmel Julie, what a time you are having!
Please give Alan my love , I hope he starts to improve very soon.
There seem to be more and more stories of ambulances being refused to people. Bowel obstruction can certainly be life threatening, and having been through it twice I know how excrutiating the pain can be.
Poor Alan, give him a hug from me.
And one for Carmel or she'll complain I've left her out!
You take care too, don't wear yourself out!

Love and hugs,
Doreen xx

Oh Julie, so sorry to hear about Alan and the trauma he is suffering. Hope things improve very soon for him. I can't begin to imagine how much pain he must have been in and how frightening it must have been for you both. Take care Julie, don't overdo things you know how much knitting you have to do for the trip Tongue

Poor Carmel, if she wasn't drinking how come she ended up on the floor RollEyes Hope her wrist isn't too badly damaged and she isn't in discomfort from it.

Take care you three Smile

As for Carmel - what can I say? You tell us she hasn't been drinking but I wonder! Seriously, so sorry to hear about this and please give her a hug and our love.

Hope Alan's feeling better. Such a stressful time for you.

As for the ambulance, its a good job that you don't have my ambulance service, they have just been voted the service with the worst response time in the country..........so what have the government done..............given them a £5,000,000 fine (yes million).

Hope Carmel's feeling better too now that she is well and truly plastered.

Look after yourself.

Oh-thank you for your lovely posts peeps.
Alan is back at home now thank goodness, they are thinking along the Crohns disease line as there is a thickening of the bowel which was what caused the blockage.

Hi Carmel,

Poor you! You will need at least a week's rest now after typing all that with one handLOL
Hope you can manage everything else.
What colour will you choose for the cast? I'm sure Julie would have knitted you one.
Get better soon ( but take more water with it next time RollEyes ).

Julie, It's so good to hear that Alan is home now.
Hope he's soon feeling a lot better.

Glad that Alan is home Julie, must have been so painful. What a time he has had this past year.

As for you Carmel, sober and breaking your wrist!ThumbDown What a shame. Sad Have you had a dexa scan? Like the colour of your plaster. Never mind, as you are now of work I am sure that you can come on our cruise on the Arc Royal to join in the hen night of Sara. ThumpUp
